Executive Board

Julian Van Pelt

Sage (President)

The word 'sage' is derived from the Latin verb sapere meaning 'to be wise.' Within Sigma Pi, it indicates a wise man. The Sage is the president and chief executive officer of the chapter.

Julian is a Junior here at FSU studying accounting and was in the ΑΥ pledge class (Spring '16). He plans to go to graduate school after graduation to become a CPA and work in public accounting.

David Moorhouse Jr.

Second Counselor (Vice President)

The Second Counselor serves as vice president and as chaplain. He assists committee chairs in all matters and, in the absence of the Sage, performs the duties of the presiding officer.

Dave is a Junior Accounting and Finance double major and is in the ΑΤ pledge class (Fall '15). He plans on going to grad school to become a CPA and then working publicly.

Jonathan Ryals

Third Counselor (Treasurer)

The Third Counselor acts as the treasurer. The Third Counselor sees to it that financial obligations of the chapter are met, the proper financial records are kept, and the financial affairs of the chapter are kept in good order.

Jonathan is a Junior from the ΑΦ (Fall '16) pledge class, double majoring in Finance and International Affairs. His plan is to either go to law school or to work in finance after graduation.

Vincent Garcia

Fourth Counselor (Secretary)

The Fourth Counselor acts as the secretary. The Fourth Counselor records and preserves the minutes of every chapter meeting, keeps an accurate chapter roster, and is responsible for properly notifying the Grand Chapter of chapter activities.

Aaron Melfi

First Counselor (Sergeant-at-Arms)

The First Counselor maintains relations with alumni and works to keep our alumni fully up to date with what is currently happening with the chapter. The First Counselor also oversees all judiciary proceedings within the chapter itself.

Aaron is a Junior from St. Augustine, FL pursuing a double major in Environment & Society and International Affairs, with a minor in Geology, and was a part of the ΑΦ pledge class (Fall '16). He plans on joining the Peace Corps post graduation, and then potentially pursuing a career in environmental protection.

Will Brewton

Herald (Historian)

The Herald is the chapter's historian. It is his duty to keep the Membership Records and History Books current as each new brother is initiated. He is in charge of keeping an up-to-date scrapbook for the chapter. The Herald also serves as the chapter's ritualist.
